About the Hillview & Jill Murphy
‘Hillview’ is the name of the property occupied by the Stinson family for many years. The Stinson family were one of the pioneering families of the Yarramalong area. The homestead was built by Hamilton Stinson in 1902 and housed the "Stinson family" for many years. Capturing a stunning hilltop location with views over the farm that are unimaginable, the home was built using local timbers and has been lovingly restored by its present owner. The home sits on a picturesque 117 acre farm with many bush trails for horse riding and beautiful natural bushland as a backdrop. The fruits, exotics and macadamia trees are heritage listed along with the homestead. With beautifully landscaped surrounds, flagstone terraced area, hidden gardens, a dam with a boardwalk and jetty highlighted with festoon lighting and picture book farm animals, Hillview is a great example of original pioneering history which creates a perfect wedding backdrop.
With over 35 years of experience in the food industry and a prominent food stylist and cook book writer, Jill has an eye for detail and a love for style. This reflects in the way she has restored the Hillview homestead which beautifully combines a by gone era and the comforts of modern day.
Jill's love for the country and the longing to return to her childhood farming way of life finally became a reality when she became the owner of Hillview. Together with her family, Jill has created a picturesque and serene environment that you can't help but to embrace the lifestyle.
From the moment Jill warmly welcomes you to The Hillview, you will feel confident in knowing that this very experienced and confident lady will help you to create your perfect day.
